Hello 2019
It’s been a lovely start to the New Year.
T always works on NYE, and although I had the best intentions of staying awake until midnight I ended up crashing out at around 9:30pm! I did stir when the fireworks started going off just before midnight, and debated whether to get out of bed to watch the countdown, but I was so cosy and warm that I just snuggled further down into my blankets and went back to sleep!
In the afternoon of the first day of the year T and I went for a walk. We’re both pretty overwhelmed at what’s coming this year, and we know that we’ll look back on the 1st January 2020 and be a little shell-shocked at everything that’s happened. But we’ve made a pact with one another to always talk; not to bottle things up, and to be honest with each other, and we know that we’ll be just as strong as we always are.
With all the upheaval in mind, T took me on a date-night to the theatre to see one of my favourite musicals! We had a lovely meal and walk around central London to see the Christmas lights before they came down. We’re trying to make the most of the time we have as just the two of us before next month and so far we’ve had a good crack at that in 2019!
How did everyone’s NYE go? What are your goals for 2019?
