Flying Visit
After all of the excitement the other day my final GP appointment yesterday was incredibly brief!
My GP is lovely, but she is super speedy, and it sometimes feels like she’s just trying to get patients in and out as quickly as possible. I mean, maybe it’s partly because I was at the hospital the previous day and was well and truly investigated then, that she didn’t feel the need to do such a thorough check?
Anyhow – everything is obviously fine and dandy. It's mad to think that this was my final GP appointment and that I only have one more meeting with the Midwife before the due date!
The only thing that’s dragging on me now is something that I actually found amusing earlier in the pregnancy, and that’s the “meh” attitude with aches and pains. Seriously, if I was in this much pain in my back, ribs and hips, without a baby in there, I’d be having all sorts of tests and examinations, but because of Spud it’s all just par for the course. Although, I’m fortunate in that T is being wonderful and caring, and not even rolling his eyes when I whine (if he is, he’s doing it when I can’t see, which is almost the same thing!) which supplies me with the sympathy I’m craving!
How did you feel as you approached the end of the Third Trimester?
