Wash, Rinse, Repeat
Last week T and I had our Second Trimester anomaly scan. However, as I mentioned at the time, Spud wasn’t playing along; determined to stand on her head the entire time, the scan couldn’t be completed, so we went back to the hospital yesterday to see if she’d behave herself this time.
She did, kind of.
She was lying on her back, at least, so the sonographer could finish taking all of the measurements, and reassure T and I that everything was looking perfectly normal and healthy – and she’s still a she! However, each time they tried to get a clear view of her brain, Spud would shake her head (we’re in trouble already!) so it took a little while for them to get a good look.
But we ended up with a beautiful scan picture, and the sonographer and the midwife both said she was a beautiful baby (though how they can tell that from a black and white fuzz, I have no idea). They also said that they thought I looked as though I was still in the First Trimester, so that gave my ego a nice little boost.
So that’s that – barring any emergencies that was the last time we get to see Spud before she arrives in February… I’m not going to be able to wait that long, am I?!
How did your Second Trimester scan go? Did you have to go back more than once or did your Spud play along?
