And the Heat Goes On
I’m so much over this heat. It’s too hot. It needs to stop now.
That’s not relevant, just a gripe. What is relevant is that T and I had our first midwife appointment this evening! It was the First Contact meeting, like a pre-Booking Appointment appointment. I was really excited about it until I realised that she was going to stick a needle in my arm, which I don’t mind but I bruise like a b***h.
So she took three little vials of blood, I had to pee in a jar, and then the midwife informed us that we’d get all of the results through at our actual booking appointment next week. We also got given a sheaf of notes that we have to take to every appointment – so, bets on how long it takes before I lose them?
T had taken the whole day off work for this (anti-climax, much?) so we had made the most of the time together and had gone out for the day, so that was lovely. We also treated ourselves to a meal out that evening as neither of us was in the mood to cook.
It hit me that T and I need to cherish these moments together all the more before we make Three.
