It's Been One Week
This morning I rolled over to T in bed, gave him a hug and whispered in his ear; “Holy shit, it’s only been a week.”
This has literally been the longest week of my life. I feel as though Spud should be about making an appearance now, though they’re only about the size of a peppercorn or sesame seed at the moment.
So what’s new? My boobs are a little bigger. I mentioned previously that I’d recently lost a lot of weight, and because I hate shopping I hadn’t bought many new bras. I popped a bra on this morning and noticed that, while my cups didn’t quite runneth over, they were certainly filling up! T is rather pleased with this development, though they’re also starting to get a little more sensitive – the right one more so than the left, for whatever reason – so he’s not allowed to touch too much.
I’ve been having weird little niggly pains all around my body. The Ovia app informed me that this is ‘probably just caused by your expanding ligaments’ so I’m not too fussed by this, though T flinches every time I do, which is adorable. Happily, I’m not as gassy as I was last week, and I’ve got a little more energy during the day (though I’m still sleeping like a dead thing at night, which is glorious!)
I popped into town over the weekend and picked up a scrapbook and a load of crafty-bits with which to start our baby book (I didn't like any of the ready-bought ones, and quite like the idea of making our own)
T also pointed out that I’m starting to get a ‘glow’. I don’t think this has anything to do with pregnancy and can be put down more to the 30degree heatwave. But, I haven’t had coffee, cigarettes or alcohol for over a week, and I’ve not killed anyone yet, so maybe I’m glowing with pride over this remarkable achievement.
Did you use a baby book during your pregnancy? Did you buy one or make your own?
